There are currently 2 openings in the Beginner Metadata class and 3 openings in the Intermediate Metadata Class. I wouldn't wait much longer if you haven't already registered. This training is open to employees of Virginia state agencies, local governments and institutions of higher education. It's offered free of charge and will teach attendees the use, creation and maintenance of geospatial metadata. The classes are offered at two levels and both classes will prepare the attendee to submit metadata records to the Virginia Metadata Portal at http://GISData.Virginia.gov. Classes are scheduled as follows: BEGINNING METADATA class Wednesday, May 7, 2008: 9:00 am - 4:30 pm Virginia Commonwealth University, Trani Life Sciences Building, Room 103 1000 W. Cary Street, Richmond, VA. INTERMEDIATE METADATA class Thursday, May 8, 2008: 9:00 am - 4:30 pm Virginia Commonwealth University, Trani Life Sciences Building, Room 103 1000 W. Cary Street, Richmond, VA. To find out more about the training or to register for one or both classes, please go to http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=NLTtZDdAUQC67LwCz3mwbQ_3d_3d. As always, feel free to contact me if you have questions. If Richmond is inconvenient, please contact me. We can try to schedule onsite classes, if there is enough interest.
