Qiana-

I received a call from Craig Michael (US Army Corps of Engineers) today.
He said that he registered to be a member of VAMLIS about a month ago,
but has not heard back about anything.

Have you received his payment?

His phone # is: 757-201-7081

Cheers,

-John

Subject: VAMLIS UPDATE

Hi folks,
I have some info for you all. Bad news first. Our postcards did not go
out on the 15 from the mail house. They screwed up and the cards did not
go out until Wednesday of last week. Now because of their screw up we
will only pay postage for the next mailer for the call for papers.

I have some price estimates from the Web Strategies folks for developing
the VAMLIS conference website which could allow online registration
(which would provide a database for us to manage registration) and
payment online via pay pal. We have secured the domain name
vamlisconference.com for the website an own it for the next two years.
Neal indicates that he can get the website up and running by
Thanksgiving. We would just have to put the link on the existing vamlis
page. This website would be hosted at another location rather than at
Timmons Group to avoid any technology/access issues. The annual hosting
fee is $348 (which we wouldn't really need yearly . . .I'll look into
that more). I've got an estimate about the shopping cart (which they
want to charge $300 annually for) I'm looking for some answers from Neal
about this. And lastly he is estimating that the cost of designing and
putting up the site will be around $3,000.00. If anyone has questions,
concerns or issues please let me know.

Thanks,
Qiana C. Foote,
GIS Coordinator,
Goochland County
