As you are already aware, Sunday, April 13th through Saturday, April 19th is Virginia Public-Safety Telecommunicator Week as proclaimed by Governor Kaine. The Public Safety Communications Regional Coordinators and I would like to join the Governor in expressing our appreciation to the hundreds of women and men throughout the Commonwealth who answer our citizens' calls for help. The 9-1-1 service provided throughout the Commonwealth is one of the most reliable and trusted of all government services because of the dedication and professionalism of the FIRST first responders. Public-Safety Telecommunicator Week is an opportunity for us to honor the work they do. Please extend our appreciation to your staff and make sure that they know that this week is dedicated to them and to the outstanding service that they provide to the citizens of the Commonwealth of Virginia. A copy of the Governor's proclamation is available to view and/or download using the following link: http://www.va911.org/pdf/NTW_Week_Proclamation.jpg Thanks and have a great Public-Safety Telecommunicator Week!!!
