Thanks, Chris ----------------------------------------------------------- Virginia 9-1-1 Professionals: The March 14th deadline is rapidly approaching for submission of nominations for the VA-APCO Awards. The awards are for the period between January 1, 2007 and December 31, 2007. The categories for the awards are: * Outstanding Individual Performance in a Critical Incident * Outstanding Team Performance in a Critical Incident * Telecommunicator of the Year * Communications Trainer of the Year * Line Supervisor of the Year * Communications Center Leader of the Year. The award selection committee will meet at the end of the month to identify those nominees who will receive the awards which will be presented at the NENA/APCO Spring Conference in Virginia Beach. Specific criteria and nomination forms can be found on the VA-APCO website at http://www.virginia-apco.org/. Every year, Virginia Public Safety Telecommunications Professionals demonstrate a level of dedication and commitment to the industry that make all of us proud to be the "best of the best" and the "1st of the first responders". I am sure each of us can identify someone in our organizations who is worthy of nomination in at least one of these categories. Please take the time to honor and acknowledge them.
