Good evening:

I am aware that several localities are having difficulty accessing the
PSAP Grant application.  Many of you are having trouble with user names
and passwords.  Another problem is one of availability - too many users
are trying to access the application at the same time.  You will need to
work with your regional coordinators to resolve issues related to user
names and passwords.  I will work with our technical staff to increase
the pool size (the number of users allowed) to connect to SQL Server at
one time.  

I know many of you are frustrated with a looming deadline, but please be
patient.  The regional coordinators and I will work with each and
everyone of you to ensure that your grant application is included in the
FY 09 pool of funding requests.  If we can not resolve your technical
issues before the deadline, we will find an alternate way to receive
your grant application.  However, I need for you to contact your
regional coordinator or myself about your technical difficulties before
5 PM on January 11, 2008 in order to ensure your inclusion in this round
of applications.  I appreciate your continued patience as we work
through this new process.  Thanks.
