Good evening:

VITA's Public Safety Communications is providing four workshops across
the Commonwealth to educate public safety professionals on the topic of
Next Generation 9-1-1. The term "Next Generation 9-1-1" has spawned many
different perspectives and has taken on many different meanings. Basic
concepts are generally the same; however, emerging philosophies,
solutions, and applications can differ significantly. This workshop will
expose attendees to the basic concepts of Next Generation 9-1-1 and the
varying points-of-view, or "flavors," that have been adopted by the
public and private sectors. These classes will be offered on the
following dates and locations:

Abingdon 9/18
Roanoke 9/19
Culpeper 10/10
Richmond 10/16
