The survey is part of Initiative #5 of the 2007 Virginia Interoperability Strategic Plan; "Establish a database of interoperability communication equipment, local and regional governance groups, and standard operating procedures (SOPS)." This is a comprehensive, statewide, all-disciplines effort to determine and document radio systems in the Commonwealth. With the information gained, the State Interoperability Executive Committee will have a broad "picture" of communications systems and be able to better plan for future interoperability. I highly encourage you to take the time to complete the survey as soon as possible. Please coordinate the survey effort with your agency, municipality or organization to insure all radio system(s) in your area are properly documented. The survey information will be emailed to known contacts. If you do not get the email, please feel free to contact me, Chris Essid (Chris.Essid@governor.virginia.gov) or visit the Virginia Interoperability website at www.interoperability.virginia.gov <http://www.interoperability.virginia.gov> .
