Update

2008 Virginia Interoperable Communications Conference

September 30-October 1 @ Norfolk Waterside Marriott

This year's conference promises to be one of the best yet and will
include speakers that are the best at what they do. Speakers will
highlight the Director of the DHS Office of Emergency Communications
Chris Essid, Inspector Lance Valcour, Ottawa Police Service and members
of the SAFECOM Executive Committee. This year will also provide the
information on the latest technology, grant opportunities and the newly
drafted National Emergency Communications Plan, Communications Leader
Training, Multi-Band Radios, new Satellite technology and much more.

A goal this year is to bring the largest group of vendors so they can
showcase the latest and greatest communications tools and interact with
members of public safety from across the Commonwealth. As always, the
Virginia Interoperability Conference will provide an excellent network
opportunity between local, state and national leaders and their
respective agencies.

The Virginia Interoperable Communications Conference was one of the
first and best in the nation; the Commonwealth of Virginia is dedicated
to improve each year's conference with the latest information, the best
speakers and best environment to network with peers, partners and
vendors.
